Spiritual Life & Service
This Week in High School Chapel:  We had an all worship chapel led by Dave Matsumura and his band Kokua.  We started our chapel time together praying for our principal search. Students representatives from each grade led us in this time of prayer for the upcoming transition in our community.  Kokua then led us in a wonderful, fun, reflective time of worship.  It was nice to come together as a community and take time to sing together during this busy season.

This Week in Junior High Chapel: We had our annual Christmas Chapel! The 8th Grade Chapel Leadership team had decorated the W building in preparation for our Chapel time and it looked AWESOME. Once chapel got started various students were entertained by and involved in games that were played throughout the Chapel time. We even had our own Mr. Lanning, Mr. Goff, and Mr. Seimsen act as living, dancing Christmas trees that students decorated! At various points throughout the gathering we were treated to Christmas carols led by Brett and Rachael Hall, great friends of TKA junior high and a couple led worship for us earlier this semester. At the end of our great time of festive fun the students were encouraged to donated money to help us provide water to a country in need. Ultimately our JH students and staff helped to raise $275 to be donated to The Water Project! (www.waterproject.org)

Tecate New Adult Leaders Meeting: The Tecate Core Team would like to welcome all new adults coming on the annual service trip to Tecate this year!  If you are a first time adult participating in the Tecate trip, please come to the New Adult Leaders Meeting on Thursday, January 22, at 7:00 p.m. in the W building, where important information about the trip will be presented.
